help!!! i'm so confused. what it says on the stanford application and what it says on the stanford website is completely different.

i thought you only had to put the teacher you wanted for the reccomendation, invite them, then just wait until they finished the recommendation, and with everything else, send in the app. HOWEVER! the website says that the teacher recommendations should b sent in the mail. by hand. it says relatively the same thing for the common app arts supplement. it's getting way too confusing.

then could you help me out? instead of saying where. like what do they want from us? send in all the recomendations and art supplement online. or seperately by mail??

I am trying to help you out. Why else would I bother to reply to this thread? I’m asking you where you read that; are you able to help me help you out?

haha. ok. i’ll ask a question a little more detailed.
on that website page, if you click on the arts supplement (pdf), it says you are limited to two submissions, and then it says that everything must arrive in the same envelope. that’s the thing. i thought that everything was supposed to b submitted online. not through the mail. sorry if it seems like i’m just not getting something. i just found out i needed to have everything by oct 15th and am freaking out trying to get everything ready.

Everything is supposed to be submitted online except for the Arts Supplement materials (form, art teacher rec letter, art itself). Those must be mailed in a single envelope to the Admissions Office. Common app and regular rec letters should be sent online, as usual.

Nope. In fact, upon further review, it appears that you don’t even have to submit the regular teacher recs and counselor report until the normal deadline (Nov. 1).

so i have to send it in via mail? ok… oh. then should i not do the arts supplement for stanford? and just send in my art and music packets?? oh and i wanted to do early action, which requested i turn in everything by oct 15th. yikes.
