I am invited to the QuestBridge College Admissions Conference at Stanford University on May 12th.

I really need to study for AP Tests that week and have a previous commitment. I might be able to attend the conference at Northwestern in June.

What should I do?

What is more important to you? I’m not even sure Questbridge would allow you to switch from Stanford’s conference to Northwestern’s. If some people wer waitlisted to the Northwestern conference than shouldn’t it be full. All in all, do you feel you could benefit from the Stanford conference or will studying for two AP tests that week be the main priority. I have to AP tests that week as well but I was selected for the Northwestern conference so I don’t have the dillema. You should probably email Questbridge just in case.

I know it may seem difficult schedule-wise but please go. I went last-year and it was an amazing experience. You get to meet amazing kids your own age, college students with years of experience, participate in a college fair with all of the QB partner schools (and meet the admissions officers, too), learn how to write your college essays and hear from admissions officers what they look for in an application (this was VERY informative), hear Dr. McCullough speak (trust me… it’s been a year since I went and this years finalists still talk about his speech), and have an amazing day at one of the most beautiful universities in the world.

I highly recommend that everyone who can go should. :)
