I am so nervous you guys. Not sure if decisions will be out tomorrow or next week, but I am nervous either way. I am not even really sure how I feel about getting accepted or not. Stanford is amazing and I would love to be accepted, but at the same time, my mom basically told me that if I get accepted to Stanford, I have to go there. She said that it would be very hard for me to convince her to let me choose not to attend. I don’t like the idea of having to be forced to go anywhere even if it is one of the best schools in the world. However, it would be nice to have the opportunity to choose to go there. She thinks I will get in. I am not so confident about being accepted with that 1-2% acceptance rate lmao. I guess I will see what happens. I don’t even know what I want to happen haha
@cassidylynnn, from what it sounds like, you already got into really great schools. So it really doesn’t matter if you don’t get in. If you get in, you should 100% go. You’d be foolish not to - since it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.
If they release on Friday before (like they’ve done in the past) or on the 15th like they said on the website/phone, all your worries will be over - the stress of waiting can really be hard. And honestly, either way, you’ve gotten into great stuff and a Stanford rejection shouldn’t bother you one bit. It would just be the cherry on top.
“Stanford will release admission decisions for transfer applications on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. (PDT). Decisions are available online through the application portal.”

@calidawg Just saw this on their website as well. The countdown begins! ~O) Good luck everybody!
@pinkcloudsonmars My passion is to manufacture “custom earphones” and since my school, Cal State Monterey Bay does not offer any of engineering programs, I cannot achieve my dreams…My dad told me that it is pointless to go to somewhere like other CSUs to do engineering cause CSUMB and other CSUs are basically the same schools and “why would you go there.” Also, he told me engineering will be hard for me since I got C in math classes and “just continue majoring in business.”
I am Korean-Canadian and have ADD. I reported my diagnosis to Stanford and USC already, but not too sure if they will go against me because of this fact. My first college was George Mason University and got 1.69 GPA, then took a year off to Korea to recover health, transferred to CSUMB as a freshman and right now I received 3.1 GPA. So total GPA is like 2.689? I did improve but still…Should I bother praying for a miracle?
I hope Stanford happens!! On Wednesday, I received my rejection from Columbia…
@L%27arc~En~Ciel, it sounds like youre in a super difficult situation - especially with your dad. I don’t think that any of the schools will see your ADD as a negative. If anything, it shows that you’ve overcome a lot in your life and it’s a positive. Schools, especially Stanford, love to see students coming out of adversity.
I would recommend talking to a college advisor that can put you on a path that you want to go on. There’s always grad school or transferring to something else completely. Stanford should never be your end alls of end alls, espcially with the acceptance rate as low as it is.
Just remember, Stanford is one of the hardest schools to get into in the world. If you dont get in, it’s not the end of the world, or your life.

I appreciate it if you guys would chance me because this IS my last shot as I lost the chance for Freshman application though to the lack of information and the F***ing educational inequality in our country.
so yeah, chance me
and GOOD LUCK!!!
btw I got two SATs, Math2 and Phys both 800 and a 106 on TOEFL and as I don’t have access to ACT and SAT general they waived that for me
@pinkcloudsonmars Thank you so much for your advice! I am more relieved now. I think it would be a late to call now since the decisions will be coming out soon, but I will try to call on Monday and explain well about my situation.
Look around.
Take it all in.
Enjoy this vista until the moment you take your final breath before the plunge…
Good luck everyone. See you Wednesday.
Good luck everyone. If you don’t get in, you can still become valedictorian of your college when you graduate
This thread is so dead…
2 more days everyone
Is it officially Wednesday?
@mjr2013 yes. Wednesday at 5
@pinkcloudsonmars I just called Stanford University and since they are ready to send out the decisions on Wednesday, they told me they cannot do anything at this point. “I am like, okay I will get a rejection letter then…”
Does anyone know where the decision will be posted in the portal on Wednesday? Will we have to click a link or boom will it just be on the home page?
@Shagunbali as per the application last year, once you log in, it’ll tell you that there is a status update and then when you click on that link it will open up to your decision.
Today is the day we will find out miracles.
Something about today just feels big. Not sure what…
