Hook: minority, but mainly that I recieved global media attention for one of my projects, which allowed me to be nominated for many titles, involved in gender equality iniatives in my country, unique experience. Spoke at several summits.
I understand that my descirptions are very vague, but my hook is really enticing and unique. A general feel is suffecient.
Your ACT is below the 25th percentile for Stanford. With an acceptance rate around 5%, it’s going to be a stretch.
Of course, do you think superb essays and hooks might be able to make up for it?
No, it’s too big a risk. You really need to be above the 25% threshold or at least try - you have a chance to retake the act, therefore you must try. Use the xiggi and silverturtle method (pinned at the top of the testing forum on this website).
Everything else is excellent, it’s your one weakness, you really must try to improve it.
Obviously apply to more than Stanford.
I understand and agree. Will retake the June act, in hopes of a 31+. Thank you.
