Stanford or Harvard or full ride to UNC?

Academically, UVA and UNC are virtually the same school.

Socially UVA is much more dependent on the Greek scene and "being Greek" than UNC.

Chapel Hill is more of a true college town than Charlottesville.

Grad and professional schools are VERY expensive and offer little to no real scholarship money mostly just loans. Save your money for grad school. Finishing undergrad debt free is a great place to be in these crazy economic times. Take the money. You'll love UNC.

How can you not take a free ride to UNC? It's not like you are deciding between UVA and Youngstown State....:)

Thanks for your help.

I'm not going to argue with you about H and S eadad because it's obvious from all of your posts that you think UNC is the greatest school in the world and nothing is going to change that. Do you seriously think that UNC is a target school for wall street firms? Come on man, I want you to show me one shred of evidence to support this. Just because a few top firms recruit here doesn't mean they actually hire many students, or that they are all front office.

I still think that UVa is a better school than UNC overall but turning down a full ride to UNC for full pay would be stupid.

It seems to me that, although you love UNC, you love their rivals more. UVa and UNC ARE comparable and are practically the same academically--you have to admit that.
