Stanford or Harvard?

My son is NOT a math/science kid, even though he's done quite well in those subjects. He likely will major in poli/sci or philosophy (one of those real practical undergrad majors!) :) He has been commenting on the news this week how awful the weather is back east, and while I'd hate for that to be the determining factor, it comes into play for a kid from so-cal. Thx for the responses.

Indeed, it should be a factor.
But for someone interested in poli sci, Georgetown or Harvard are terrific places to be. For example, students were allowed into the Kennedy School post-mortem of the election featuring the campaign managers of the various candidates; one of the great things about Harvard's location is that it is so accessible, so it's easy to secure speakers. Georgetown also benefits from its D.C. location.
