Stanford/UCLA

I'm not sure what exactly to put here, but I'll just give as much info as i can.
I'm a junior at Harker (bay area private highschool), and as a side note we do not have ranks. I am half white (american) and half indian (from asia). I do have a legacy at Stanford also (mother). I probably also will apply for financial aid.
Languages - Japanese, semi-proficient (studied at school for around 7 years, will not taken AP course). German (just a little bit)
Interests: I probably will want to major in computer science (engineering). I also may want to study sports management, as sports are a passion of mine. I cannot play, thanks to an injury in my shoulder, but I am still involved in the programs at my school (Announcer for home football/baseball/softball games). I also do some
Grades:
Freshman 3.6
Sophomore 3.9
Junior (first half) 4.2
cumulative is about a 3.8 (will be higher by the time I graduate, I sort of just screwed around frosh year)
Besides freshman year, pretty much all A's in my classes, except for Japanese/English.

SAT: 2250 (750/770/730)
ACT: 33
SAT Math 2 - 780
SAT Chem - 700

AP Classes taken - AP CS A (expecting 5, its an A+ class of mine) AP Calc AB (expecting 5)
Course load this year - AP CS, AP AB, Honors english, Jap 5, Honors bio, Regular history.
Next year - AP physics C, 2 post-ap cs classes, honors calc c, ap psych, non-ap english, Contemporary Japan (japanese culture class, non-ap)

Work experience
Last summer I worked at a bay area startup, doing software testing (Looxcie - Share life as you live it ... it's more fun that way). Paid job, worked for around 2 months
This summer I have an unpaid internship at a German chemical logistics company (in Germany). Probably an office job.

Volunteering
Tutoring club member (11-12), usually 1 hr/week for about 10-20 weeks a year
AYSO - Huge part of my life. I am a former player, and a current referee/volunteer. Ref a few games a month, and I volunteer in their disabled program for special needs children.
I also volunteer a few hours a month at a school as part of my NHS program.

EC's
NHS (11-12)
Ultimate frisbee club (intramural) - Co-captain. Play a lot at school, just for fun
Model UN(11-12) Attend a few conferences a year. Co-captain

Anyways Stanford is my dream school, and UCLA is a close 2nd.
Thanks for the help, let me know if I missed anything :)

You seem like a good fit for Stanford. You’d be in the right city for your career. UCLA is a pretty solid second choice, though.

UCLA: Match (I would say low match given your qualifications but the UCs are so random it’s hard to say. I think you’ll get in though.)
Stanford: Reach (it’s a reach for pretty much everybody)

No offense but from your post you aren’t going to Stanford. I see no passion for any specific thing. I mean Ultimate Frisbee/Model UN? A few hours of tutoring and refereeing? When you apply to Stanford they want to see a passion. I know its cheesey but its also incredibly true. I just can’t see it. Keep in mind that you are competing against the the best of the best of the best. And you’re good. Which is two levels below super fantastic (aka people Stanford accepts)

UCLA should be a match for you. For Stanford, your GPA is rather low (even you are not using a 4.0 max uw scale) and your SAT/ACT scores are mediocre. You may want to bring up you test scores if you really want to try Stanford.

UCLA: match
Stanford: reach
You should do more ECs to help your chances
