Stanford University Summer School - anyone?

Hey, today I just got a letter being invited to Stanford's summer college program (dated Dec 8, mind you).

Has anyone else gotten a letter and, if so, are you planning on going?

If you've been before, how was it? Is it worth attending?

Thanks!

can u give link for info plz ?

thnks

I got the letter too.

It sounds pretty cool, but I'm not sure about going though. There are so many other summer programs out there like UCSD, RSI, MITES, SSP, Berkeley, PAVE, TASP, Harvard etc. lol eeniee meenie miny moe.........

how would you guys rank these programs? any input?

How come I never get anything about these summer programs in the mail?

Okay, letters are usually given because 1.) you signed up with a college accredited program association (whatever they're called), 2.) you are an outstanding URM, 3.) you demonstrate good academic performance (PSAT, SAT, GPA), or 4.) you were nominated by someone, probably your counselor.

Now, for the Stanford summer programs links:

Well, from what I hear, RSI & TASP are really big reaches. UCSD, UC Berkeley, and COSMOS are much less (in terms of competition). Not sure about the others.

what is the diff between epgy and summer college prog?

Ok guys there's at least 2 other threads on CC on the Stanford summer programs.

I was a participant in Stanford EPGY 2005, which is 3 weeks long, and offers no college credit; however there is a teacher evaluation at the end of the course.

The summer college program offers college credit and allows HS students to take undergraduate courses. It is 8 weeks long.

Uhh 9 Grand??? I Think Not!!!!
