Stanford v Penn

I just got into Penn ED. I am very happy with my decision. However, if I had the stats for Stanford, I would have applied SCEA there, and if I got in, only apply to Penn. Penn and Stanford were my top two from the get go, but I had a slim chance at Penn and no shot at Stanford, so I figured that it would be best to get into my close second rather than neither of the two. I think I would still choose Stanford over Penn, but right now am very very happy with Penn.

I haven't been to philly but I would expect it to be as dirty as SF. IMO, chinatown was one of the more dirtier sections of town.

just like certain parts of every large urban city are going to be "dirty" San Francisco has its sections which are dirty, but it also has many spectacular areas and it is a great city in almost every sense.

and to clarify, stanford is about 45 to 50 minutes away from San Francisco...certainly doable on a weekend trip.
