Stanford vs. Georgetown SFS

Which would you choose? Stanford or Georgetown School of Foreign Service? I love foreign languages and want to major/minor in one or more foreign languages and international relations. I also want to study abroad during my junior year.

What besides academics are you most looking for, because you’ll probably be content academically either way.

I just made this same choice! I picked Stanford  because ultimately I like the flexibility it offers me. I’m 100% sure of what I want to major in…now. But I’ve talked to so many people who felt the same way but then still changed their mind later on. And I don’t want to be at GTown if it’s not SFS; I can always end up in the foreign service from Stanford; Stanford people seem less cutthroat (which I really don’t like) and less full of themselves. GTown didn’t even have a “decline” checkbox for admissions–just accept! Way too pompous to me, I guess.

I’m so happy with my choice!
