I'm having the dilemma of my life in choosing between these two. I'm set on becoming a doctor, but Stanford is Stanford. I posted this on the multiple degrees forum, but I want to know what other potential and current Stanforders think. Is Baylor worth opting out of Stanford? Specifically, is it hard to get into a medical school like Baylor from Stanford premed (which I hear, and assume, is ultracompetitive and tough)?

If you are 200% sure on becoming a doctor, go for the Rice/Baylor medical program. Stanford can and will provide you with enough opportunities to get into a top medical school, but i believe it's not worth all the stress throughout the next four years.

take rice/baylor. Rice is fine school and so is Baylor. In addition you don't have to go to Baylor if you get admitted some place else. If you go to Stanford, you have to work hard, maintain GPA, take MCAT and take your chances. With rice/baylor you have a guaranteed non-binding reservation at very fine college.
