Starbucks

Hi all:

I am having an interview at starbucks soon. A few questions:

1) How early should I arrive?
2) How will I recognize the interviewer!
3) What should I order to drink?
4) What if I'm early and he's late, or vice versa!

Thanks a lot!

1)Probably 10-15, you dont want to be waiting too long. Unless it is at an office or somewhere more formal, they won't be there that early. And personally, I wouldn't enjoy sitting 30 min, starring down everyone who walks in.

2)My interviewers gave me descriptions, idk if this is normal? If you have time you can maybe email them and ask how to identify them with a simple description of yourself. Otherwise you both will be looking like you are looking for someone so it won't be as hard to point out. Once you think it is them, ask politely "are you?" and they will say no or "you must be?!"

3) I didnt order anything at any of mine. I dont think it is a big deal. A few offered to pay, but nothing is more awkward than eating or drinking in front of people (for me)

4) You should exchange #'s. Call if you will be late. Wait quite a while before you contact them though, if they are late.

Thanks for your reply!

Will it be awkward if I don't order? (or we both don't...)

It's fine either way. I've always ordered something for my interviews, just as a safety net if I become extremely thirsty. But my interviewers have ordered, and haven't. It all depends, but really, it's no big deal.

I have one at Starbucks too and I've been wondering how I'd be able to recognize my interviewer...

Is it rude to order a drink before the interviewer arrives?

Ordering before might suggest you have been waiting a while. I would do whatever they do so they do not feel awkward.

All of mine have carried obvious give aways-like school calendars..and like i said before, its much easier to notice once you get there.
