Hello everyone! I'm a high school student from Serbia. Since I will be graduating from high school around 2015, I thought it would be good to look for some information and get some tips for my college application process as an international student.
I would like to ask some questions: Which colleges/universities are the best places for internationals? Which ones provides the best financial aid program? Finally, since I'm interested in majoring in mathematics, which ones have the the best mathematics programs (perhaps Physics and Computer Science programs as well)?

The questions you’re asking have been asked - and answered! - many times on this forum. Use the search function to educate yourself. Use search engines (such as the one on this site, or princetonreview.com or collegeboard.com) to find schools that fit your criteria. Start readling each school’s websites. Then get back to us with specific questions.

Among the first things you need to do: familiarize yourself with exams you will be expected to take/choose from - SAT, SAT II, ACT, TOEFL - and find out when they’re given in Serbia. Start discussing your transcripts with your school, and think about/approach teachers you’d like to write recommendation letters for you.

Finally, don’t count on getting in anywhere - thousands of international students apply each year for the same small number of places that give significant financial aid. Unless you have some national or international-level awards and are a truly exceptional student, the odds are against you. The reality of studying in the U.S. is that it costs a great deal of money. If you don’t have the money, trying to get financial aid as an international is like playing the lottery.
