Does anyone know how this class over the summer is? Is it any easier than the version taken during the school year?

haha this never got answered a few weeks ago xD What I’ve heard from just poking around is that it is kinda.

I posted another thread but only some people replied I think =…

Since it’s an online class… if you 2 decide to take it, do you want to work together on the homework…? I heard it’s 50% hwk and 50% final and the homework is very dense.

For sure, if this is a better option than taking it on campus, of course…

Are you planning to take it back home or on campus with another on-campus class.

I intend to take it at home, since it’s the only class I plan on taking.

But you need 2 more units for FA unless you intend to pay 1.1k all on your own. I’m thinking of taking that at home too… but online class seems risky >_<!

No FA, doesn’t make a difference. I’m mainly considering it since I want to take it before Haas apps, and it sure beats taking it with Econ…

lol…I’m being too stingy to pay for it >.< but my schedule looks pretty packed next semester…idk

If you’ve had prior stats experience, and get a good econ prof, I think you may be able to handle it. And I’ve heard people just take it second sem and it doesn’t really make a big dif (or, well, imo…I’ve met people who got in this sem and are in stat 20 now)

Well the online version is not curved unlike the normal Stats class where only top 20-25% could get As I think. I’m not sure if I should take this or not =@

I know what you mean. I feel like the curve would work against me in the normal school year, but I find myself a bit more mathematically inclined than the average pre-Haas student. Like, I’m struggling with this memorization for UGBA, and I’m even planning to take Math 53 for a grade booster next semester. >.>

haha math 53 is easy peasy compared to 1b (imo). It’s the only for sure A I have right now lolol

I envy your math skills :(!

I envy pre-biz majors’ good at not making mistakes on module exams skills. -_-

No…I’m dead serious here. You just need a good GSI, read the book/watch Frenkel’s podcast if you’re having issues, and you’re set for the class. I’ve only been to two of Neu’s lectures and couldn’t sit through either. (still go to honors lectures but not relevant to what regular does)

LOL! Some of them just cram UGBA all day! There’s a group of them that I see in the dungeon practically everyday. Honestly, while there are a good chunk of people who have really good test taking skills, there is an even larger group that just tries to memorize every single little thing…and does…idk about your schedule, but I just don’t have that kind of time. Just a note though, despite what Robinson says, making sure you really know the concepts in the practice exams helps a ton.
