State Universities or Ivy Leagues for International Student?

<p>Anyways, I e-mailed University of Minnesota to get a better reply of their prices for international students, and in the meantime I was checking the FAQs and came across this question:</p>

Are there scholarships or financial aid available for international students?
The University of Minnesota offers a limited number of Global Excellence Scholarships for incoming international freshman and transfer students. These competitive scholarships cover the full difference between resident and non-resident tuition rates and 50% of the difference between resident and non-resident tuition rates. No separate scholarship application is required. Students are considered for these awards based on an overall assessment of the admission application.</p>

<p>International students are not eligible to apply for U.S. state and federal financial aid programs. Most of the international undergraduates enrolled on our campus are supported by personal or family funds or by scholarships or loans from their home country or private agencies. Some students do receive limited scholarships, but they must still be able to cover all other expenses. If you are unable to pay your expenses at the University at this time, we urge you to delay your application until you are able to do so.

So apparently the University DOES give scholarships to international students as well? :D</p>
