SAT Subject Tests: 800 Math II, taking French and World History, projected score around 700-750

GPA: 83/100 in ridiculously tough grading, the highest GPA in my class is 93 and that person isn’t even going to apply abroad. Mine is 72 in 9th, 84 in 10th, 93 in 11th grade.
Major academic awards: Honours student in 11th grade (for maintaining a GPA of 85+)
Extracurricular activities: Blue belt in Karate, used to play badminton, play the piano, volunteering, give free piano lessons, free tutoring, internship at a law office etc. etc.</p>
<p>Like most other countries, ECs are generally non-existent here. College admissions simply do not work the way they do in the US. Even your high school GPA affects a little portion of your college admission. All you have to do is take a standardised test like SAT/ACT (but it covers much more topics and requires at least a year-long preparation) and that score is combined with your GPA so that your GPA will be 12% of your final score. Then you are placed in a university according to that score. Even with a GPA like 60 you can get a place in the nation’s top university if you ace the test.</p>
