Congratulations! You are all so awesome :)

Hooray for HeyitsLC! And looking very good for you, too, ctodd.
Happy for you both. Celebrations all around. :)

ACCEPTED! With a Dean’s scholarship!
I actually applied early action and they rolled me to regular decision, so this was kind of a surprise.

More hoorays!

Thank you Chapman!!! My very excited D received a “nice big envelope” in the mail today with a Presidential Scholarship letter. Even though I had seen her FA package late last night, I kept it quiet until she opened her mail. :)

They were so generous with financial aid! I am so excited!!! I received a presidential scholarship and a generous grant. It makes things so much easier for us. We will be visiting over my spring break now.

Congrats ctodd152! My D also received a very generous grant from Chapman. Unexpected, but very much needed and appreciated!

Are the grants and scholarships included in the acceptance packet?

Scholarship info was included in the acceptance packet. I believe FA info will be mailed at a later date, but it may also be available on your portal.

S still has not received his decision letter. But acceptances at LMU, CPSLO, UCI, UCSD and a couple others, thusfar, almost makes it a moot point. I might care if he was a film/theater major, but he’s CS/Engineering for goodness sake.

Then again, we do live a distant 50 miles from Chapman. Talk about snail mail.

^Some Chapman info from another thread as to why you may not have received notification yet…

“Please be patient with us as we are getting thousands of decisions out in the mail every day. When a decision has been made on your file, the decision status on your WebAdvisor account will most likely change to “Decision Mailed.” This status can be deceiving as it does not actually mean that we have physically mailed it. The decision letter still has to print, be matched up with your file, stuffed to mail, and THEN mailed.”

@racedad, yes, we’re aware of that. His portal changed to “Decision Mailed” on March 7. Pony express could have gotten it to New York in 10 days, let alone the South Bay. Leaves a large gap in confidence for considering Chapman for a Computer Science/Engineering degree.

My admission status has changed to “Decision Mailed,” so now I’ve tried to view my possible Financial Aid information, but when I click on the “Accept or reject my financial aid award” link, and select a year, it says “There is no Financial Aid information for the selected year.”

Anyone else have this message?

That likely doesn’t mean anything–neither good nor bad. It’s neutral b/c it takes a few days or even a couple of weeks to load the FA package on the portal.

Does anyone know if grants are listed on the portal or is limited to scholarship and loan info?

crunch, I’m not really sure how complete the FA packages are on the portal to date…but my D’s portal does show grant info.

Thanks “Dad”–I do you you are correct that grants are included on the portal
