I know that they only admit 5-10% of deferred applicants, so I’m not hopeful. My counselor thinks they are waiting to compare me to the regular decision applicants from my state since I was the only one who applied ED from here–so maybe that could help, emphasis on maybe. But if anyone has any hope-inspiring stories or tips, these would be greatly appreciated!
The main thing that you should prioritize as a deferred applicant is a Letter of Continuing Interest or LOCI
It should be about a page long and content wise it should reiterate your interest in Duke as well as briefly discuss senior year accomplishments that they don’t know about
Send it in an email around Jan 15th and you’re good to go!
