you got an 800 on the writing^ ? damnnnnn I got a 700, I probably have to take that class…whatever; I probably need it.

First semester is ok, with the exception of writing the essay…I just pulled an all-nighter trying to finish WTE because my teacher basically said my previous draft was trash…maybe my own problem hehe. Other than that, the academics is not the most difficult aspect of freshmen year, but ADJUSTING. For many, it’s the adjustment of moving to a rural area to the most urbanised city in the world. For others, it’s the adjustment of living by themselves. Trying to balance your life socially and academically is also something you have to do.

Last year if you got a 730+, you could instead opt for an alternative writing course called ‘Commerce and Culture’, which is easier mainly because I heard the lowest was like a B, which is quite lenient if you look at the average grade in WTE.

Accepted to Stern!
and I got a whopping $1,000 scholarship lol

Dat $1000 is better than my 0 Congrats!

@deathblade22 Thanks a lot! I’ve heard many bad things about WTE but some good things from people that aren’t freshmen anymore when they look back at it. How long are the essays?

@idontlikewaiting $1000 lol classic NYU…

Can you guys post your stats you got into Stern with?

Damn. I’m so excited :)

Can you all please post your stats? :)

Ask if you need anything else and nice to meet you all :)

Is the gpa weighted or unweighted?

Hey guys, I just got to NYU Stern as well! Can’t wait to me you guys next year.

unweighted

Applying to stern RD and am super nervous! I have a 4.65 wgpa and a 30 act…nervous about the scores. Can anyone else post their stats and ease my stress?!

Based on what i’ve seen, your stats’ a bit weak for Stern, especially for RD, but i’m pretty sure ppl with similar stats got in, so who knows!

Can someone inform me on how Stern views IB predicted grades? Also applying to Stern and honestly a bit nervous. I have a 4.0 UW GPA, 34 ACT superscored (they superscore at NYU) and a 43 predicted for IB. Does IB give a significant boost in admission chances for Stern?
