For applying at NYU undergrad, what do I put for the major if I want to go to Stern? Do I just put business? I found the majors offered at Stern, but on the common app it doens't list them...

Also, for the Core Business Program - how does that work? Do you take all courses in that circle?

Is MIS, marketing, or international business better at NYU?

If anyone attends Stern, can you tell me what you had put for your major to get in? Thanks!

This only answers part of your question, but international business can only be a co-major doubled with another stern major. therefore, you can not apply as an international business major.

I still haven’t submitted by app yet, but I know that it doesn’t matter what major you apply for at Stern. It’s not going to hurt you if you choose one over the another as long as that’s what you want to do (or at least think you want to do). I’m applying to Marketing too.

As for the Core Business Programs, it basically requires you to take intro class in all aspects of busienss (finance, accounting, marketing, management, etc.). That way you’re not only educated in your specific major, and it gives you the opportunity to exporle in case you decise you want to switch majors. Although, you take these required classes in addition to your MAP requirements.
