<p>i submitted everything on like dec. 22, somewhere around there, and i still haven’t received any e-mail or anything from brown. i did get the e-mail from the common app web site though. should i be worried?</p>
<p>I think the Brown website said it would take at least a week (I submitted mine the 27th), but I'm worried about this too. if the common app site says it's submitted I'm sure they've received it, I just want to be able to neurotically check the other parts every day.</p>
<p>Admissions probably opens like tomorrow, so I'm not too worried.</p>
<p>I applied like 100% on the 10th or so, and didn't get mine for close to 2 weeks. You're fine.</p>

<p>It takes a while for the admissions office to get back up to speed after the holiday break. If you haven't heard from them by mid-January, then it's probably time to give them a phone call.</p>

<p>agreed. I've already head back from Stanford, Princeton and Harvard about my apps. Brown was the last one I sent out though, so I know it'll take a bit before they can process it.</p>

<p>It takes a while to get the email so be patient, you should probably be getting it by next week but thats just my speculation based on applying ED</p>

<p>as long as the common app says they downloaded your application you shouldn't have anything to worry about. they're probably dealing with thousands of applicants right now so i wouldnt panic yet (or at all, it's easy to just send an e-mail i you really think something's wrong)...</p>

<p>Same here LaVie, nothing yet for my S, no e-mail confirming receipt (except from Common App) and nothing about an interview.</p>
<p>As for interviews, Brown was updating its website last week -- the vast majority of names weren't put online until late in the week. Given the huge number of applicants this year, it will take time for the alumni chairs to sort through all the names and make assignments. In my area, most of the assignments were made on Sunday. And then it can take a few days or more for the alums to check their assignments and make contacts.</p>
