Still Nothing on WA

nothing again

nooooooooooooooooooothing!

oh well! one more day!

Goblue81 and Ahmedkhokar - do you know if those people got emails or if they just checked WA?

They just checked WA – I don’t think they got emails, but I’ll call them

Personally, I didn’t get an email either. I got my acceptance on WA in late March.

At the risk of sounding foolish… what is WA

Wolverine Access

"what is WA "

WA = State of Washington…

but seriously WA = wolverine access

2 more days till mid april…

Still nothing at all… but at least it has to be over in two days… right?

Wolvine Access. Not sure if she also got an email … she is out of the country at the moment.

Website said by “late april” so be prepared to wait longer haha

Where on the website does it say that?

late april!?!?! serious? o_O i thought they said mid april

Spoke to Admissions Office and they said all the decisions would be out by the end of the week. Really unbelievable - I wish my daughter would just move on already!

I think my son has given up already and has decided to move on. It really is inexcusable to be taking this long. Deposits have to be made within the next 2 weeks and it is unfair that the university is dragging this out. As a parent, I am not impressed right now. If this is a sign of how they treat their students, then I am not inclined to be giving them my hard earned money. I know I shouldn’t use this as a barometer for the entire university, but it does leave a very bad taste in the mouth.

Mich was always my childs’ number 1 choice. She applied to nursing and was deferred ER. App was in mid-October. 32 ACT, top 12% of class. 5.0 GPA. No concerns about the deferral, but here is it April 14 and she wanted to have her plans by now. So she has written of Michigan completely. Other schools did a much better job of making her feel welcome and wanted and keeping in touch. Other parents had told me that their primary “fault” of Michigan was that they did not care for the individual student and I can now see why they said that. Dealing with other universities has been a completely different experience – and I mean that it was much better dealing with other universities.

son is still waiting. I called admissions last week. they were nice but could offer no assistance. Son applied by Nov 1 and got deferred in Dec and nothing has changed. I think it is so unfair. It was probably my misconception, but I thought rolling admission let you know as they received the application whether or not you were in or out. the earlier you applied in the rolling process the earlier you found out. Oh well, he is making his mind up between two other fine schools. Just wish we could close the chapter. i guess hearing nothing is better than NO. glad some people are still getting in.

^^ I called as well and they basically told me “we will release the decisions whenever the hell we want.”

They made me feel stupid for asking about the status of my application.

:(

I don’t think it’s fair to say that the later applicants are less likely to get in. Two of my friends (3rd and 7th in the class rank) that were both accepted to Stanford and MIT haven’t received their decisions. They had already planned to go to Michigan in-state and room together, assuming they were going to get in, but now they are doing the same for Stanford. They really are losing some good quality students because of this.

Think they’ll release any tonight?
