it’s officially mid-april now!!! still nothing on WA!!! i guess we’re done…

This is absolutely ridiculous…

I agree that this is completely ridiculous. I just want a decision from Michigan already. Every other school I applied to (9 total) was able to give me a decision before April. Michigan really needs to be able to put out decisions in a timely fashion.

If it’s not here by Friday, I’m going to be seriously concerned. I finished my application on December 2nd (most in by November 2nd), never got deferred or anything, and I still haven’t heard, I don’t understand…

Same, I gave in my app end of december, everything else was in my mid jan. I was not deferred, I applied preferred admit to Ross and I still havent heard back. I just checked my WA and nothing there.

I wouldnt be concerned because I got into my other top choice, but I want to know UMich’s decision so I can finally decide!

if the decision doesn’t come out by the end of this week, then sorry but…

UMich can kiss my @ss!

didnt they say they werent releasing any more decisions on wolverine access?

if not the letters would come like a week after the final release date, which we can only assume in april 15.

DS had his application in by mid October and was deferred in December. Just checked the mail today and once again…nothing.

Was just told by admissions that they are still getting decisions out, target to have them out by the end of the week. There are still “yes” decisions to come; they are not just all no’s. And contrary to some of what has been posted, it is not ONLY deferred students who are still waiting to hear. Some of the small programs, such as nursing where only 80 are admitted, have not yet sent the majority of their notifications.

I applied RD and I haven’t heard anything, so no, it’s not just deferred students.

I completed my app at Dec 15 and havn’t heard anything from Umich yet. I checked WA everyday since april. Now, it’s officially mid-april but there is still nothing. I know there are many people like me still waiting on Umich. i really hope Umich addmission office could do a better job on this and sent response back in this week. I’m really tired of waiting I know I have a good chance to get in but I have to make my deposite in two weeks!! and Umich is driving me crazy!!

Remember, Mich tends to release a bunch decisions on Thursdays. My friends and I all received decisions on Thursdays, some time around noon. Now, that’s not to suggest that you stalk the site come tomorrow at noon, but its just a suggestion so that you don’t frantically refresh on WA every other day.

Thank you so much for your information. I’m gonna to check WA around this time tomorrow. Wish good news could come~~ I’ve a class to go to. Thanks again!

I applied RD in mid-December. ACT 34. 4.3 GPA. I’ve seen posts from people who got in months ago with lower stats. Its not like I’m a convicted felon. What could be the hold-up? Oh, I forgot - I’m a white male from a suburban high school.

hey so am i, and i got in with a 3.2 umich gpa…maybe you just aren’t as great as you thought you were

The scores are what they are. All of the other schools had no problem making a decision - yes or no. Is it too freaking much to ask for a decision before its time to send in the deposit?

I think what some people are failing to understand is that for many of the applicants still waiting to hear, it’s not a matter of waiting to hear that they got in to Michigan so that they can send off their deposit. It’s a matter of understanding what all of their options are before making a decision. Without information from a key piece of the whole picture, it’s difficult to make a choice without second guessing yourself later. It is in that regard that U-M appears to be arrogantly ignoring the needs of the applicants, many of whom are bright and have many options to consider.

^^ Exactly. If Michigan has decided to accept me, it throws off my options greatly, and puts me in a different place on deciding. At this point, it’s getting really close and nervewracking to only have fifteen days to decide, enroll, do housing, etc…

Hey guys

I’m with my best friend who applied to UMich as well and she just got off the phone with an admission rep. She said that all decisions will be out by Friday and that some will be on WA while others will be mailed. (aka if you got in, you’ll find out WA…if not you’ll get snail mail)
