Westside, you can't get into OASIS? you should be able to access that. Are you one of the people who had 2 bar codes maybe? I would definitely use that as an excuse to call tomorrow.....tell them you need to check your financial aid (that's really all we are supposed to use OASIS for). Maybe you'll find out something else if they let it slip..........

yes its true i do have two USC ID's but the one that comes in the mail is the official one. What is also true is that i cannot check any site. Maybe il try the ID i got in my financial aid letter. -Thanks

i tried both of them and they both dont work is this a cause for concern?

MAgonu, you mentioned that everyone on this cc board has previously gotten into oasis. where any of them rejected?

Being a little bit of investigator here

Nagony do u think i should call the admissions office if i cant access oasis wit both my ID's which USC gave me.

oops, so sorry - misspelled the name. that is :
NAgony, you mentioned that everyone on this cc board has previously gotten into oasis. where any of them rejected?

NAgony said that everyone should be able to access it because it contains financial aid info. But i cant log on does that mean i have already been rejected or does that mean i need to call in and find out whats going wrong.

so far as i know, only one person has received a rejection and this was the friend of a cc poster. I believe anyone can access Oasis but I don't know if your access is cut off upon rejection. I would imagine that it would take them some time to do that, and they probably are too busy. All we know for sure is if you can get into ExploreUSC, you are accepted. everything else is pure speculation. we're all going crazy with the waiting, but it's probably only 1 more week at most. My own thinking is that rejection letters will be mailed last (no empirical data to back this up). Other posters have indicated acceptances as well as rejections will be going out this week. whatever, we will all know soon. unless we're waitlisted ha ha ha. Good Luck to everyone and just hang in there....and try Explore daily :-)
Oh - and I would definitely call if i could not access Oasis. Just because I might be able to find out something...i don't think it can hurt.

ok i am gion to call tomorrow.

I think a lot of letters have to go out this week. We should notice a trend by Wednesday or Thursday I'd say of whether its all acceptances still, or a mix of acceptances and rejections. I've been trying explore every day for over a month now, and its driving me nuts.

Damn that red error message.

i think everyone can login to oasis

hahha yeah, i was freaking out because i used to be able to log in and then i couldnt and then i remembered that I changed my PIN hahhaha

i'm pretty sure that acceptances and rejections will be sent out through the very end of march/beginning of april. from what i've heard/experienced it takes a while for them to get all of the papers together and out, so its not like all the rejections are being saved for the end.

Question: those of you impatiently waiting with me, did USC recently ask you for more information? Not long ago (2 weeks?) they asked me for my midyear report so just wondering.

My midyear report was sent in on time. I believe it's a required item, they probably just didn't receive it.

they didnt ask me for a mdy report and for USC its not manditory.

If you can log on to OASIS, No, it does not mean you have been accepted. Try www.usc.edu/exploreusc. If that works, you are admitted.

How do you know that being able to log onto OASIS doesnt mean anything? It seems like its only for accepted students.

I called the admissions office, and being able to log in to OASIS does not have anything to do with admission into the school. Anyone with a USC ID can log in to the website, just because that's the way the website works. As you probably can see, you can't really do anything on the website. This is because you're only able to log on because you have an ID number. I thought the same thing too when I was able to log on to OASIS, and I became very hopeful, but when I asked the admissions office they told me otherwise.

The only clearcut website that will display admissions information is www.usc.edu/exploreusc. If you can log in there, you're good to go. If not, it does not mean that you've been rejected, it just means a decision has not been sent out yet. Don't worry though, you'll know soon enough.
