stony or bing for medicine

What is better for pre med? or science and math field. stony or bing? cuz i got accepted into both..but stony is givin me more aid.

gosh I wonder where you've been hiding. stony brook is considered the best suny for pre-med, and in fact has its own medical school and hospital on campus. thats one of the reasons that i absolutely would not go to sb. pre-med students (especially the ones there) tend to be extremely competitive and bookwormish. however , that being said, stony definitely has the better pre-med program. in fact, it supposedly has an "excellent" pre-med program.

oh really..great.! thanx.

go to stony

Definitely Stony Brook. I'm a pre-med linguistics major at SB, and I love it here. SB is definitely a much better choice than Binghamton for science (and a lot of our non-science departments are fantastic too); the research being done here is first rate and offers a lot of opportunities for interested undergrads. The hospital on campus is also a great volunteer opportunity for pre-meds.

People with an outdated concept of Stony Brook may think of it as a commuter school that empties out on the weekends, but it definitely doesn't feel that way. Over the past couple of years the number of people staying on weekends has increased drastically, and there's always plenty to do unless you're completely antisocial. The campus is beautiful and the academics are great... I know I sound like a brochure right now, but what more could you want?

If you have any questions about pre-med stuff at SBU or just things about the school in general, I'd be happy to help.

Lol the SB hospital (at least the ER) isn't the greatest. I got a concussion when I was a kid and they had me wait 4 hours (in the room for people who need "immediate care") before a doctor saw me, and then another hour and a half before they stapled my head together with one of those body stapler things.. :) But I'm sure it's gotten better since then.
