Many of my firends with black college-age sons report increased sesnsitivity, cauation, and concern about their well-being at school after the Trayvon verdict. Several report to me that their sons had already been stopped and queried --if not frisked -- by police off-campus near their schools in places like DC , Philly, or New Orleans.

Curious whether this hs happened to any of the posters here or to anyone they know while attending or visiting a college (not necessarily in those three cities). HOw did the person react? What was the experience? Were you treated respectfully? Did you or the person you knew report the incident to anyone at the college or otherwise, or to your parents? What would you tell propsective college freshman?
