To address the OP’s question, yes there are straight guys. There is quite a large population of LGBTQ and I think that is really a great aspect of NYU’s diversity and openness, but in no way will it be a dampener to you as a straight girl.
Secondly, the LSP might have that stigma, but it’s definitely not something that should hold u back, like whateversquared said, it really is just more structured in terms of what classes they can pick from. I’m in CAS and one of my really good friends here is in LSP and honestly I would never consider her below me because of schools.
Social life at NYU is very different from other colleges. Because you are in the city, people tend to be very much in their own world and tend to have very set social circles. It’s just something to be aware of.
