Something very simple. Fresh (ripe) strawberries cut in half, sprinkled with freshly ground black pepper, drizzled with honey and covered with a dollop of mascarpone. Serve with a Moscato D’Asti. Delicious.
I have two! This is one I tend to make a lot but they don’t keep well at all and tend to get soggy. I find myself cutting the recipe down unless I am making them for a group.
I haven’t made these other ones yet but I bookmarked the page a month or so ago. I can’t wait to try it, I was thinking Father’s Day but both my dad and DH prefer chocolate so maybe the 4th of July.
I know we aren’t supposed to link to blogs but it is the only place I know of that has the recipe. It isn’t an opinion or about college so maybe it is OK. If not, sorry in advance.
You want easy. H makes this all the time in the summer. You can use any flavor of KoolAid and mix in any kind of fruit. In this case strawberry.
Hand mix/stir 1 tub of cool whip with 1 can of condensed milk and 1 packet of your favorite KoolAid mix. Spread in a graham cracker crust and chill 2-3 hours before serving. You can mix in your strawberries or put them on top.
Wow that’s interesting! Koolaid? I would
Have guessed powdered jello!
My mother in law always did a dessert with angel food cake, cool
Whip, maybe jello? And strawberries- I’ll have to see if o can find it -I might use real whipped cream though!
For many years I made the shortcake recipe on the Bisquick box, and served with the biscuits cut in half, and lots of strawberries and ice cream between the halves, with more strawberries and whipped cream on top.
I’m “famous” (in my family) for my simple strawberry dessert…really it’s simply cut up strawberries (I don’t cut them small) with halved yellow (green) grapes…then my “secret” is I squeeze 1/2 orange over it all, stir, chill and eat - seriously my family thinks I’m a magician…
