(ACT directed question, feel free to give your opinion if you only know about the SAT though) If you were to underline the number of a question in the answer booklet and not have time to erase it would the scoring machine count this as an error if you bubbled in all of the answers darkly?
Bump.
IN the answer booklet you are fine, on the sheet itself it may have to go back through the optical reader.
You will still get a score
I’m sorry. I should have been more clear. Some of the question numbers on the answer sheet itself were underlined and not all were erased in time. Like I said though, I answered all of the questions by bubbling them in darkly.
So, you’re saying that regardless of the question numbers being underlined a few times it should score my sheet correctly? That it won’t count the small lines that are away from the bubbles (under the question numbers) as errors?
You should be ok.
I know of two students who did this in the past and they received their scores without problem.
In the future, probably best to mark any questions to go back to in the booklet.
Thank you very much. This is comforting!
