Stressed About AP Scores

Hi everyone,

I just finished all my APs (had to take a few as make-ups due to speech and debate regionals) but I am honestly really worried about my results. Last year as a sophomore, I only took 3 APs, and all were in areas I felt confident about (World History, Music Theory, and Latin). I managed to get a 4 on Latin and 5s on World History and Music Theory. However, after finishing my AP tests this year, I feel really worried. It seemed like all my exams were really tough. Even though I practically memorized my Barron’s review books for each subject and took every practice test, I felt like the tests were very different in format than my practice. I am a homeschooler who would like to apply for some of the Ivy League schools, so high standardized test scores are crucial.

Point is, I’m feeling really sick about how my APs went. Any tips for dealing with this post-test anxiety? I did not feel this way at all last year- I actually was super happy with all my tests. Thoughts?

Omg I feel this way too. I took AP stats and its considered one of the easiest tests but I felt sick thinking about the FRQ. Im trying to get over it by simply thinking about other things like fjnal exams and getting my grade up for some of my classes. College board Does release the AP FRQs two days after the test so if you go on youtube you can find youtubers going over the material and telling you the answers. This is a great way to see if your answers match, and it can also give you a good predictor what you got.

Overall you probably did well and if you didnt you dont have to gjve your scores to the colleges.

Really hope this helps

Oh, that’s a good idea! I took 3 of my tests on the normal dates, but I had to take 3 others late because I had debate regionals the first week of AP tests. I guess I’ll just have to wait on those ones to see if my answers were anywhere near what the graders wanted.
