Stuck on what to do

I have to choose between the following:
- Double major in mathematical economics and computer science and then go for PhD in one of the above.
- Master's in computer engineering but no PhD
- Master's in chemical engineering but no PhD

I love math and science but am stuck on which of the three to pursue! I like everything, both theory and applied. I basically love subjects that involve logic and deduction more than memorization. So which would you suggest for me? You can tell by my username that I'm a CS man, but I like all scientific subjects really.

I greatly appreciate your advice!

NP

If you have a serious interest in NP-completeness and other theoretical CS topics, you should pursue a PhD in CS. Thus, choice #1 (mathematical economics and CS) seems best for you.

Agree with yagottabelieve; a PhD in CS from a decent school with a decent theory offering will not only be interesting and fun, but should also set you up nicely for employment either in academia or industry.

Yup. Choice #1…

NPComplete : easy decision : With Chem E you would need PhD - w/o PhD
opportunities are more limited in field.

Computer MS w/o PhD gives more opportunities out there. Just think about it.
