Hi does anyone know where to find breakdown of geographic home states for student body at Denison? Is it high concentration of mid-west or is there a strong North East contingency? Also, any idea about the percentage of Jewish students? I know there is a Hillel…
I haven’t seen any recent info but I believe it was primarily mid-west and then midatlantic (NY area). I don’t know about Jewish students. Send a note to the Hillel.
From the Denison website: Of those students from the United States, currently about 24 percent of Denison students come from Ohio, with another 29 percent from the Midwest outside of Ohio. Mid-Atlantic and Southern states account for about 29 percent of students, about 10 percent call the Northeast home, and 10 percent hail from the Southwest and West. International students comprise about eight percent of the student population.
Most of Denison students are from out of state, though it does draw heavily from the midwest. It felt like half the school was from Chicago lol. There are quite a few people from the east coast, however. I’m a recent grad and don’t know any information about the percentage of Jewish students, but anecdotally, I can tell you that I knew several Jewish students and that many were active in Hillel.
