Hello everyone) this is year I am completing bachelor in psychology. As the next, planing to do MA in USA.I am not an outstanding student, just a regular student ,with some experience and strong eager to accomplish MA program. However,I can't afford myself MA for $ 25k or any other.I would be thankful if you would tell me what are the chances of student from developing countries to get a scholarship in good universities.

If you look through this forum you will find lots of questions just like yours. The answers are pretty consistent. Assistantships usually are given to Ph.D. students rather than Masters students in programs which offer the Ph.D. Programs which only offer the Masters will have some teaching assistantships for their graduate students.

There are sometimes some tuition scholarship funds available but that will certainly not cover the entire tuition costs.

do you recommend to do PhD rather than MA?

Why do you want to go to graduate school? What are your career plans? Does graduate school further your career plans? It seems a waste of your money to go to grad school if you are going just to get a degree.

If you are not an outstanding student, the likelihood of getting a scholarship to cover the cost of an MA is low. It’s already low - as master’s programs don’t offer a lot of nonrepayable aid - but when they do, they offer it to the very top students in their incoming classes.

Also, if you are planning on getting an MA in psychology, don’t. What are your career plans? A master’s in psychology doesn’t really concretely lead to any kind of career path; they’re mostly undertaken as preparation for a PhD (for students who need or really want the interim time).

You should also look for fellowships that your home government might provide. You might be surprised.
