Student from the UK, are my SAT scores good enough??

i am international student studying in the UK, doing my a-levels.
(maths, furthers maths, physics and economics, predicted AAA* A if that helps)

I took the SAT 1 in october and got 2050 (720 writing, 640 reading, 690 maths)
i took Physics subject test, got 680 so will definitly need to retake

Maths level2 got 740, should i retake that??? not sure if i will be able to do better.

What are my chances of getting into the ivy leagues with my current scores? do they compare scores from international students the same way? am applying for engineering.

thanks!!!

Form just your SAT’S, Not very good sorry. You’ll need a 2300+ to be really competitive. Also your Cr+math score is more looked at…and you lack in that.

Ok, your 740 in math2 is only better than 75% of others who took it, butttt this is in the range for some ivies. Check that out if you want. Please don’t distress too much as (obviously) being an international student and whatever amazing gpa you have also factor in heavier than your sat’s (well at least your gpa does).

Also are you planning to apply to any honors colleges in the university? If so, why?

most top schools look beyond ur scores nd all those when making decisions, so don’t worry too much. work hard on your essays, as they can also be a determining factor.
good luck though

Ok, one issue regarding your interest in engineering - you are definitely going to have to bring up your maths scores, because 740 is not really high enough against other internationals.

Moreover, the UK pool has some very strong applicants (most of whom have perfect predicted grades for A levels, so that doesn’t matter much), so as the previous post said, you really need your essays and recs to stand out (especially given that other applicants from the UK certainly may have better SAT scores than you). Mind you, I know quite a few guys from the UK with similar stats who have gotten into various Ivy league unis, so best of luck.
