Student life at Pomona

It just occured to me that pomona has sucsh a low student populatino, that, how do people successfully develop relationships? Or do they not? That is sort of important for my friends and I (not at the top of our list, but it DEF. wouldn't hurt :D)

Pomona alone has a low student population, but there are the 4 other claremont schools that add to it

It's sometimes easier to make friends when the school is small. Everyone gets to know everyone else within the school community, which can actually result in more good friends rather than fewer.

Between all the undergrad Claremont schools, you have 5,000 students. Almost all of these students live on campus, eat in the dining halls, attend small classes on a regular basis, and are actively involved in student organizations. You'll make at least as many friends as you would at a larger school (and over the course of four years, probably keep better track of them). Pomona also does a lot to bond members of each class...sponsor groups, lower classmen housing, and the like.

also, if you are at pomona you will see lots of students from the other claremonts in your classes. due to the cross registration students from the other colleges enroll in large numbers in pomona's classes... this is even becoming an issue in that class size is rising a bit (and some think that it may have even been a contributing factor to pomona's drop in the u.s. news rankings -- larger class size, that is)... there is an article in this week's school paper saying that pomona may even have to hire more prof's because there are so many students from the other 4 colleges enrolling in pomona classes...
