Student loan showing wrong ammount

I'm a late registration for transferring into UF because they were waiting a final grade from one of my last classes. I was entered into the financial aid system yesterday and it shows the full amount of my Pell Grant. However, It shows my student loan amount as $7700 and its supposed to be no less than the full $12500 for the school year. In fact both of the other universities I was accepted too show that I get the full $12500. Additionally, It is not showing me in ISIS where I can accept my loans and again only shows the Pell Grant.

Has anyone experienced this?

I think that 7700 is the max, unless if you’re considered an indepdent student or in graduate school.

$7700 may be for an dependent student but I’m 30, so I’m independent. And for an independent undergrad its $12500 for junior and senior level.

If you were just entered into the system they might still be processing the loans, which is usually the case when the accept and reduce option are missing. Is it showing both sub and unsub loans?

You can call your fin aid adviser and check with them; in my case it was only the pell grant and the sub loan that showed up and I wasn’t able to accept or reject anything, two months later the unsub loan showed up, two weeks after I was able to accept them…

Thanks for the info guys. That makes me feel a bit better. I hate finding this stuff out on the weekend and having to wait to call them. I’ll call them on Monday and clarify this, so hopefully I’m just getting stressed out over nothing.
