Hey guys this is my first post but I've been reading for months. I was just wondering if someone could evaluate my profile. Im in my fourth year at a university in Canada, top school, and I'm getting my honours degree in Econ. I have been a TA for macro and microeconomics for the last two years, I will most likely have solid reference letters. I have also been doing research in an econometric topic under the supervision of a professor and i am hoping it can potentially get published. I will probably finish with about a 3.75ish GPA in my last two years. I was looking into attending UBC, Queens, McMaster, U of T, or McGill for a masters in econ. Also i was thinking LSE, Cambridge and Oxford in the UK. I want to get my Phd and i know that all the top schools in the states only have phd streams no masters but they are very competitive and i don't know if my marks straight out of undergrad have a chance? I have taken all advanced micro macro and econometric theory courses and gotten B+ or higher. My downfall is in math... i did not take any math past second year. Although I did take mathematical analysis of economic models which relied heavily on proofs and got an A-. What are my chances in any of the schools posted above? and do you think i have a chance applying straight to phd in the states? if so what school... Thanks a lot for your help!
