Yes you can delete anything you posted on anyone’s FB page after the fact. You just click the little “x” in the corner of the comment box. If it is your own FB page, then of course you can delete everything on it. The problem is that once the post goes out, potentially millions will see it, some can preserve it, and damage has been done. But removing it as soon as possible is infinitely better than leaving it up indefinitely. And yes, as parent, you would still be responsible for your kids actions, but at least you helped minimize and mitigate the damage, which benefits the victims and counts for something under the law.</p>

<p>I am FB friends with both of my college student children, and no, I do not plan to edit their pages because they are adults, responsible for their own actions, and because like poetgrl described, they already learned how to maintain a responsible FB profile through my help when they were minors.</p>
