I just recently went to the RH campus and I loved it! It’s summer so there were no students and I’m wondering if most of the students are artsy/hipster or more preppy? Thanks!
There are many threads on this same question from prior years.
In short, RH is a tad more conservative than LC. There are suburban preppies, but everyone dresses like most college kids…
the really artsy types tend to go to LC as that is where the dance school is and the drama school.
Fordham is very diverse. 60% catholic. 25% minorities. All walks of life and regions of the country, though the tristate area is the biggest representation by region.
RH is best for students who want a classic college campus experience, with athletics, dorms and a big green leafy campus.
But there isnt “one type” of student at either campus.
Rose Hill tends to be a bit preppy. Vineyard Vines, Hunter Boots, Canada Goose coats. There are a some hipster/artsy types. My daughter texted me asking about the cost of Canada Goose coats because she was seeing so many of them on campus.
Lincoln Center, tends to be on the artsy side.
My daughter is entering her sophomore year at the RH campus. While it can be a bit preppy, there are certainly all types of students. My daughter is not the least bit preppy, and tends to be much more urban, but not really “hipster”. She was a bit nervous last year about the preppy majority, but she has felt totally comfortable and has all types of friends. I think the general atmosphere is very accepting for everyone.
