Study Abroad Programs

Hi all,

My name is Kenny and I will be an incoming college freshmen majoring in applied economics/finance (technically a sophomore, since I was dual enrolled senior year of h.s.). I want to study abroad in either China (Shanghai or Beijing) or Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City). I want to know reputable sites that I could visit to learn more information.

I found <a href="https://www.educationabroadnetwork.org/crm/myaccount/newaccount.php%5B/url%5D">https://www.educationabroadnetwork.org/crm/myaccount/newaccount.php</a> so far..

Thank you.

I know that CIEE and SIT offer programs to China and/or Vietnam. Since you’re only an incoming first-year, you might take a look at the Boren Scholarship website ([Boren Awards: Scholarships and Fellowships for undergraduate and graduate study abroad, language study, and international research | Boren Scholarships](http://www.borenawards.org/boren_scholarship/)). These awards offer students scholarships to study abroad if they are studying one of the preferred language (Chinese and Vietnamese among them). They’re very competitive, but it can be a goal and you might poke around their website to get some idea of what kind of programs/universities those students chose.

Thank you so much! Much appreciated  I just want to start exploring and getting myself ready for the future.

Best,
Kenny
