Hello, I have looked at some study abroad programs from various schools, one school I thought had some great programs was Arizona State University. Is there anyone out there that has taken some courses abroad. I really like England but if you have been somewhere else that is still ok. Just trying to find out how they like the abroad programs from that school and how they felt about the costs.

My daughter is a junior at my alma mater, College of the Holy Cross, doing "Junior Year Abroad" in Spain. She absolutely loves it and will no doubt benefit a great deal from the experience. Holy Cross typically sends one-third of the class abroad each junior year. Our costs are the same (very high) for JYA as for the stateside years and I would not be surprised to learn that it's the same for other colleges. Others can provide their input. HC gace us a $1,200 credit to compensate for airfare, but we pay same tuition & room & board as stateside stidents and The College handles the financials with the university in Spain. Every young person I've spoken to about foreign study, from a variety of colleges, has said it was the highlight of their four years.

Hi! I am a senior at the Univerisity of West Georgia and in my second year of college I studied abroad in Stockholm, Sweden. I used an exchange program called ISEP which is short for International Student Exchange Program. I believe that schools all across the US use this program. You can visit their website at ISEP: International Student Exchange Programs. The cost was the same as paying to go to my school in Georgia and I got my own apartment in Stockholm. Other costs to think about are plane tickets, transportation while there, and phone costs for calling home. I would encourage you to try and live somewhere for at least for a semester! It is a lot of fun and just an overall good experience. :)
