Study Buddies/Group for High School?

I’m a sophomore in HS (class of 2018) and was curious to see if anyone around my age would like to form a study group where we could exchange notes or ask questions if we are confused (NOT to copy assignments off of). I think this could be helpful, especially towards exam time! I’m thinking I could form a Skype group chat (or ooVoo, google hangouts? If anyone knows which is best, please share!). I’m gonna share my upcoming schedule, and I encourage yours to do the same, and post whether you are interested in joining (I’ll exclude classes like computers, PE, band, etc. but that doesn’t mean you have to!)! Anyone can join, the only requirement is you’re a high school student as of the 2015-2016 school year! =)

Honors Spanish III
Honors English II
Honors Chemistry
AP Government
Honors Precalculus

I look forward to (hopefully!) a great study group for the upcoming year! =) ~ Matt

Good idea

@valevictoria which classes are you taking? Are you interested in joining?

There’s a study group that’s has been made with quite a few people, it’s open to everyone but I don’t know if its still going to happen because I haven’t gotten a response.

Hi, I am interested in joining.

I’d love to have a google handout!
I’m taking

French 1
French 2
General Chemistry
Algebra 2 Honors
English 2 honors
Human Body Systems
Trig
World History Honors

Yes, I second the google hangout idea! I will be taking:
English 2 honors
Algebra 2 honors
Chemistry honors
AP World History
Advanced Orchestra
P.E
French 2

Depending on what type of communication we use, I may join. What do yall think about just starting a DM with all of us in it on here?
Pre Calc Honors (first semester)
Data Analysis Honors (second semester)
English II Honors
AP World History
AP Physics (it’s either I or I & II, I need to clarify)
Chemistry Honors
French III Honors
Art Foundations

@Madeline25 glad to hear you might be on board. I was planning on creating a skype or google hangout group where people could DM, not so much video chat.

I might, although I don’t know how much help I will be to anybody as my school does not offer AP or Honors classes. Here’s my sophomore schedule anyway:

Algebra II
English II
Physical Science
Government/Econ
Spanish II
Health Occupations

That sounds great!

@brijetz17 that’s fine, anyone can join!
@Madeline25 cool! I’ll be in contact at some point (probably closer to the beginning of school) to ask for contact info over PM

Yes I am.
I will be taking

French 2
Pe 10
Chemistry
AP chem
AP Euro and honors English 10( all year)
Geometry
Algebra 2

Summer Classes at local community college
APUSH
AP Stats

BTW I’m fluent in French too so if anyone needs help I am available. I’m taking French 2 because my dad wants me to review some stuff.

I also agree with the Google hangout idea. I can’t video chat because my dad would flip. He’s extremely protective.

I think that is a great idea!

My schedule: My school only offer Accelerated (honors) math, but doesn’t offer AP classes.
English 10
Algebra 2 Accelerated (Honors without the GPA difference)
Biology
U.S History
French 3
Photography 1
Healthy Living 1
Self Study AP: Computer Science

@MPC6789 Instead of a Google Hangout or Skype (people may feel uncomfortable giving username information away) lets create a new thread dedicated to that single subject.

For ex:
Algebra 2 thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/
French1/2/3/4 thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/
Biology thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/
etc.
This is so people can stay safe (from strangers on the internet) and study at the same time. Does that sound like a good idea. I think that threads are also available to others, so more people can benefit from that certain thread. I would like to know your thoughts along with everyone else.

@apple1893 That’s what I was thinking. Your links don’t work though. Maybe we could try a group DM on here.

@Madeline25 The links I put upwere “examples”. I was thinking we could make real ones in the future. think we should use college confidentials messaging ability’s (threads and PM) to our advantage rather than going out of our way to do a Skype or Google Hangout.

Oh haha sorry! I definitely agree though! @apple1893

Maybe we could do a group email thing??? Just CC doesn’t allow homework help posts and I already have 2 points for violating a rule that I didn’t know existed. Guess that’s what I get for not reading terms of service agreement or whatever. :-??

Oooo good point. I didn’t think about that! @brijetz17 I’m good with email if everyone else is. It’s pretty easy to make an anonymous Gmail
