Studying Abroad in 2 Different Countries to learn 2 languages

I want to become a Japanese and Korean translator, but I am not sure whether to study one year in one country and visit the other during breaks, or to study in Japan and Korea for a semester each to improve my language skills. My university has exchange agreements with the universities that I'm considering in both countries, so money is not much of an issue. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

Get a job in each for a summer each.

Pick one language to focus on right now. You will learn faster if you can devote singular attention to it. Both are relatively difficult so take your time. If you want to be a Japanese and Korean translator, you will get there!
