<p>I would like to go spend a month or two in a country, I was thinking Australia, Germany, Slovakia, Ireland, Italy, and I'd be open to others. My H.S. also sponsors a trip down to El Salvador every spring, to help a school and missionary down there. Will this help me for admission into Notre Dame and other top schools like the Naval Academy, Coast Guard Academy, and others.
Will it depend on how much I talk about it, like in an essay?</p>

<p>I think just volunteer, I don't think I can pay for 6 months and go to school somewhere else. My H.S. takes a trip down to El Salvador every year to help, last year they helped build a school and taught a little. I think I'll do that next year, If it's still available. </p>
<p>That or do a program where I go for a few weeks or a month somewhere over the summer, to learn a new culture, but not necessarily go to school, IDK.</p>
