Studying Abroad With A Double Major

So this is all hypothetical:

If I majored in political science AND Japanese, and I went to study in Japan for a semester, what would happen to political science? The Japanese major includes language classes, history, literature, etc, so when I study in Japan, could I just exclusively take classes that fulfill that Japanese major (or a chunk of it) and come back with just political science classes left to take? I would have a significantly lighter course load, it seems.

Thanks :D

I would think that it would be possible, though it would depend on your school and the rigidity of its requirements. But I would assume that if you have a semester of Japanese classes followed by a semester of Poly Sci classes, it would even out and you’d be fine.
