Studying Abroad

Hello, I’ve always wanted to travel through different places and meet different people and cultures. Would studying abroad in different schools be a good idea? Say I intially apply for a school in a different country, then after a year I would move to another school in another country. The language I speak best is English and there are a ton of programs for english speakers to study abroad out there. I just wanted to know if this “ nomadic lifestyle” would be plausible and if I should adress some concerns. If there’s anyone who has done this before, I would like to know your experiences. Thanks.

It’s better to pick one school to be your degree-granting institution. Depending on your major, you should be able to study abroad in at least a couple of different countries (fall semester junior year, spring semester junior year, and 1 or more summers).

Alternately, you could consider some of the joint programs out there like William & Mary / St Andrews or UNC Chapel Hill / NUS, where you spend two years at each university.

Students at the WM/St Andrews program almost all said they wish they’d applied to St Andrews directly.
You can apply through ucas.

Sounds like what you want is MINERVA. First year in San Francisco, second year and third year abroad in different cities.

I agree about Minerva. It’s a new university, appropriately accredited, hard to get into, with an emphasis on foreign exchange.
