Studying at Night

During the night, do people usually study in their dorms at Vanderbilt? Or are their other places to study at (ie. the library)?

The Peabody library closes around 2AM I think. I don’t think any libraries are open 24/7 unless it’s finals. It can be difficult to study in your dorm at night since your roommate might have people over to pregame or just hang out or whatever. Your hall’s study room is always available. You kinda just have to find places.

The Stevenson library is usually open until way early in the morning. Most classrooms are just open at all times to be used for studying.

Stevenson Library is open continuously from Sunday morning to Friday night. It’s only closed Friday and Saturday nights. People are always in Stevenson, even in the middle of the night (though usually not very many at 3 am). People also like to study in The Commons Center and at Rand. I believe we have card access to these 24/7. It’s really just personal preference, but there are definitely always places to study that aren’t your room.

It depends. Some manage to study in their dorm rooms (there are nights that aren’t too noisy), some prefer a library (e.g., Stevenson).

Or you could be like me and go to bed early and study really early in the morning. As mentioned in another similar thread, the music practice rooms are always a good bet.
