studying for ACT & SAT???

So I was wondering on how others decided to study for the ACT and the SAT. Did your way work? What is the best materials? and how would you suggest studying for the PSAT? I'd like to get national merit and high scores for an Ivy League school.

Practice, practice, and more practice. These are the 3 (or 1) most important thing to do.
When you do practice test, make sure you go through the answers and explanation for those you have missed.
Set a schedule for preparation. Over the Summer before Junior is most critical. You also need to do full timed practice from time to time to monitor your progress.
For PSAT, you may use SAT prep book for reviews and then try a couple sample tests for timing.
Get a few prep books for ACT and SAT. Check your local or school library first before spending the money. You may also form a book exchange club with your peers as you are likely to use each prep book once. If you have a few members in the club and each get a different book, you will have a few books to work with.
