Stupid question, Is Digital electronics the subject that focuses on GPUs?

I want to work in a manufacturing plant for GPUs and on the GPU page on Wikipedia it says GPUs are a Electronic Circuit and on that page it talks about Analog Circuits/Digital circuits and mixed signal circuits.

I would imagine there are a lot of subjects that are relevant to developing GPUs - computer science, industrial design, art, engineering, electronics/physics.
