Stupid question....

So if i want to get my B.S., because i want to go to medical school after my undergraduate, would i have to go SEAS, or just the college?

either one is fine

You don't need a BS to go to med school; you just need the right pre-med classes. I believe that CC only gives BA's,but many students from there go on to med school.

CC gives an AB while SEAS gives a BS, however if you wish to major in the pure sciences (Bio, Physics, Chem, etc, versus applied sciences) you must attend cc

I find it kinda ironic that you can get a Bachelor of Arts in Physics ;p
"My degree is an oxymoron!"
Anyways, if you want to go to Medical school, yes--you do not need a BS, just satisfy premed requirements. Engineering is not a good major for pre-meds, btw.

actually (sorry to hijack you're thread) I've got a similar question... I've heard that engineering is really a tough major to get a good GPA for medical school, but what about applied math (from SEAS)? Is it equally as rigorous as its engineering couterparts in SEAS? Will it be hard to squeeze in the applied math major requirements, SEAS requirements, pre-med requirements, along with the core together in 4 years?

if you're gonna be spending lots of time doing premed requirements and prepping for the MCAT, do you want to be spending the rest of your time doing math? woohoo. . . but if you really are attracted to applied math, then. . .
